Getting Started with Vidmate
Installation
First, download and install Vidmate on your device. Visit our Download page to get the latest version for your device (Android, iOS, or PC).
Launch the App
Open Vidmate from your app drawer (Android/iOS) or Start menu (PC). The app will load and display the main interface.
Grant Permissions
Grant necessary permissions for storage and internet access. These permissions are required for Vidmate to function properly.
Start Downloading
You're ready to start downloading! Paste a video URL or search for content within the app to begin.
How to Download Videos & Music
Step 1: Find Your Video
Find the video you want to download on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or any other supported platform. Copy the video URL or search for it within Vidmate.
Step 2: Paste or Search
In Vidmate, paste the video URL in the search bar or search directly within the app. The app will fetch the video information.
Step 3: Choose Quality
Select your preferred video quality (720p, 1080p, 4K, etc.) and format (MP4, MKV, etc.). For audio, choose MP3 or other audio formats.
Step 4: Download
Click the Download button. The video will start downloading. You can pause, resume, or cancel anytime.
Step 5: Enjoy
Once downloaded, access your files from the Downloads folder or the Vidmate media library. Enjoy offline!
Configuring Vidmate Settings
Download Location
Go to Settings → Download Location to choose where downloaded files are saved. You can select your preferred folder.
Video Quality
In Settings → Video Quality, set your default download quality. This will be applied to all future downloads unless changed.
Audio Format
Go to Settings → Audio Format to choose your preferred audio format (MP3, AAC, WAV, etc.) for music downloads.
Network Settings
Configure network settings including WiFi-only downloads, data limit settings, and proxy options.
Notifications
Enable or disable notifications for download completion, errors, and other events in Settings → Notifications.
Advanced Features
Batch Downloading
Download multiple videos at once. Add videos to your download queue and Vidmate will process them one by one or simultaneously.
Playlist Downloading
Download entire playlists from YouTube and other platforms. Vidmate will download all videos in the playlist automatically.
Video Conversion
Convert downloaded videos to different formats. Use the built-in converter to change video format, resolution, or quality.
Audio Extraction
Extract audio from videos and save as MP3. Perfect for downloading music from YouTube and other video platforms.
Subtitle Downloading
Download subtitles along with videos. Vidmate can automatically fetch available subtitles for downloaded videos.
Schedule Downloads
Schedule downloads for specific times. Useful for downloading during off-peak hours to save bandwidth.
Tips & Tricks
Tip 1: Use WiFi
Download videos over WiFi for faster speeds and to save mobile data.
Tip 2: Choose Quality Wisely
Higher quality videos take more storage. Choose quality based on your needs and available storage.
Tip 3: Organize Files
Create folders to organize downloaded videos by category or date for easy access.
Tip 4: Keep App Updated
Always update Vidmate to the latest version for best performance and security.

Add multiple videos to download queue to save time and automate the process.
